Road Ride 5/20

Last night's road ride was a success. We had seven riders show up! We had a great time riding the monastery loop and a lap around old town Huntsville. Those that didn't show up sure missed out! We look forward to seeing everyone next week for the Mountain Ride on 5/27 6pm @ the shop.

BIKE RIDE WEDNESDAY MAY 20, 2009!!!

First of our weekly rides is this week!! We will rotate mountain and road every week. This week will be a road ride. We'll be meeting at Diamond Peak at 6:00 pm. Everyone is invited! Bring your friends!!!

SNOWCREST RAGNAR SATURDAY MAY 9TH!!

Everyone better come out in their best SJH gear and show their Skyhawk spirit for this race!! There will be rewards for fastest, best costume, most skyhawk spirit and many more!! The race is May 9th and starts at 12 pm- register anytime between now and then at Snowcrest Junior High. The race is 15 miles and can be done solo or with a relay team ( 3 man, 5 man, 15 man teams). Come join the fun!!

Biking season is here and we need to be safe! Here are a few tips from the FMCSA to help this summer be a safe and fun one for everyone:

TIPS FOR BIKERS

• Wear Your Helmet
  
• Biker Be Aware- Assume that you are invisible to other road users and ride defensively.
• Ride With Traffic- Riding against traffic may cause you to miss traffic signals and signs; which promotes the chances of an accident.
• Beware of the NO Zone- Avoid riding in what could be blind spots.
